Patty Foglesong

Patty Foglesong is an experienced leader of business strategy and project management across the education, nonprofit, government, and energy sectors. Patty has managed GSG strategic planning projects for school districts, independent schools and nonprofit organizations. 

Patty is a graduate of the 2012-2014 Cohort of the Broad Residency for Urban Education. As a Resident, Patty managed strategic projects in the offices of the Superintendent and Chief Strategy Officer at Fulton County Schools.

In previous roles, Patty has performed financial and data analyses to drive development of multi-million dollar projects. Previously, Patty served as Business Management Specialist at the National Park Service where she was responsible for financial valuation of private sector partnerships providing visitor services to the National Park Service’s largest region. Among other projects, Patty determined financial feasibility of regional contracts grossing between $5,000 and $90MM annually, including those at Yellowstone and Grand Canyon National Parks, to issue competitive business opportunities. She managed development of business opportunities grossing between $3MM and $15MM at Grand Teton and Grand Canyon National Parks.

Prior to the National Park Service, Patty was a geologist with ExxonMobil and was responsible for identifying and evaluating drill-well prospects, as well as interviewing and recruiting geologists as a member of the geoscience new hire recruiting team.

Patty holds a B.S. from the University of Notre Dame, an M.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master’s of Educational Leadership from the Broad Center and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Patty recently completed a specialization in Design Thinking through the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
