The Georgia Tech Workforce of the Future Initiative seeks to prepare Georgia Tech to attract, retain, and support the talented faculty and staff who will be the workforce of 2035.
In partnership with the internal Georgia Tech Strategic Consulting Group, the GSG team:
Conducted an extensive literature review regarding the work, worker and workplace of the future, and synthesized this information into a comprehensive report
Designed and facilitated an interactive session to identify the implications for the future Georgia Tech workforce, involving more than 70 representatives from across multiple academic, research, and operations areas
Engaged in design sessions with high school students about aspects of their future career that were most important, including preferred work settings and conditions; the design sessions included an interactive poll, creation of visual representations of their preferred future work, and open discussion.
The research findings were shared with executive leaders, and informed a future workforce strategy. A summary of research findings and the Georgia Tech strategic workforce initiatives can be found at this link: http://workforce.gatech.edu/
