Theresa Cho-Bergeron has more than 25 years of strategy and operational consulting experience serving both non-profit and for-profit organizations.
Theresa’s nonprofit experience includes three years as Director of Strategic Initiatives at Points of Light, where she managed efforts to develop a new organizational strategic plan, including leading integration efforts, working with leaders across the organization to create detailed business unit level plans, and identifying implementation priorities, including HR and organizational redesign efforts. Theresa was then able to adapt to shifting priorities and led efforts to identify non-staff related cost-reduction efforts, including streamlining procurement, developing new approval processes, and evaluating vendors.
As the Director of Planning & Administration at St. Andrew’s Lighthouse / Gabriel House of Care, Theresa was responsible for leading efforts to assist in the building, opening, and operating of a new 30-bedroom facility on the Mayo Clinic campus to house patients and their caregivers. Theresa led negotiations with Mayo Clinic on the operating and lease agreement, procurement of furnishings and services for the new facility, and developing operating procedures. Theresa also advised CEO and Board President on senior staffing decisions and the creation of an organizational investment policy.
Theresa additionally has held internal consulting roles with Morgan Stanley and Citigroup where she was responsible for evaluating and assisting in the negotiation of a series of business development opportunities. At Morgan Stanley, Theresa managed a complex partnership with Standard & Poor’s in developing a joint data product business based on their respective index offerings.
